To evolve Scyther into Scizor in Pokemon Violet, you gotta trade Scyther while it's holding a Metal Coat. You can find Metal Coat in the game, equip it to Scyther, and then trade with a friend. Once the trade is complete, boom, you get a Scizor!

Just catch a Scyther and trade it with the Metal Coat attached. No biggie.

I did this with my friend last weekend! Got my Metal Coat from a PokéStop, attached it to my Scyther, and we traded. Worked like a charm, and now I have an awesome Scizor in my squad. It's easier if you coordinate the trade with someone who wants to evolve their Scyther too!
