Honestly, just find a pro player's crosshair you like and copy their settings. Plenty of websites out there list pros' configs. Way easier than fiddling with commands yourself.

Custom crosshairs? Just hit the settings, man. CS:GO has a built-in crosshair editor now. No need for console magic unless you're SUPER picky.

To execute a new crosshair in CS:GO, you'll need to use the console. First, enable the console in the game settings. Then press the '~' key to open it. You can either enter crosshair commands directly, like 'cl_crosshairsize 3' for size adjustment, or use a crosshair generator online and copy-paste the whole config into your console. Easy-peasy, lemon squeezy!
