How to fish in Pokémon Scarlet

Fishing in Pokémon Scarlet is super chill once you know the ropes. First off, you won't need to worry about finding a fishing rod, because there isn't one! Just keep an eye out for those ripples in the water when you're exploring. These ripples mean there's a fish (or sometimes, other water-type Pokémon) lurking. Just saunter up to the edge of the water near these ripples, and a prompt will show up to let you 'press A to fish'. Bam, you're fishing! But remember, timing is key. You gotta hit that button right when the exclamation mark pops up to reel in your catch.

Honestly, I miss the old fishing rods. The whole 'look for shiny spots in the water' thing doesn't cut it for me. Bring back the rods!

You can't fish the traditional way in Pokémon Scarlet, no fishing rods here. Just find the sparkly spots in the water, press A, and you're good. Easy peasy.
