How to Fix Alt-Tab CS:GO Crashes

Easy peasy lemon squeezy! If CS:GO crashes when you alt-tab, try running the game in borderless window mode. This way, your game runs in a window that fills the screen, looking like it's full screen but without the alt-tab crashes. Also, update your graphics drivers. Outdated drivers can cause all sorts of crashes. If you've done all this and still face issues, verify the integrity of the game files through Steam. Sometimes files get corrupted, and this will fix it right up!

Had the same issue. What worked for me was lowering my in-game resolution. Dunno why, but it stopped the crashes when alt-tabbing. Worth a shot!
