Verifying game files is usually the way to go. Worked for me last time I had the same issue. Steam really makes it easy to fix these things without needing to be a tech wizard.

First up, try restarting your CS:GO and steam, sometimes it's just a glitch that gets fixed with a good old restart. If that doesn't work, verify the integrity of game files through Steam: right click on CS:GO in your Steam library > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files. This usually does the trick by making sure all your game files are complete and up-to-date.
