How to fix CS:GO crash on startup

First thing, make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers often cause crashes. Also, try verifying the integrity of game files through Steam. Right-click CS:GO in your Steam library, go to 'Properties,' then 'Local Files,' and click 'Verify integrity of game files.' Sometimes files get corrupted and this step can fix it right up!

Check for background apps that might be interfering with CS:GO. Discord overlay, antivirus scanning, or other software might be causing conflicts. Turn them off and see if the problem goes away.

Just reinstall the game lol. Seriously, it sounds simple, but a fresh install can sometimes be a magical fix for all sorts of weird issues.

Lower your graphics settings. CS:GO isn't too demanding, but if your PC is on the older side, running the game on high settings might cause crashes.

Had this issue last week! Fixed it by setting CS:GO to run as administrator. Right-click the game's shortcut, go to 'Properties,' then 'Compatibility,' and check 'Run this program as an administrator.' Worked like a charm.
