How to Fix CS:GO PAK Files
Best answer

Getting a 'pak' file error in CS:GO is like dropping your ice cream cone - it's a downer but fixable! First off, try verifying the integrity of game files through Steam. Right-click CS:GO in your library, go to 'Properties,' hit the 'Local Files' tab, and then click 'Verify integrity of game files.' Steam will do its magic, replacing any naughty files with fresh ones. If that doesn't cut it, try deleting the 'pak' files in your CS:GO directory and run the verification process again. Steam will redownload what's missing, hopefully getting you back into the action!

QuickFix
Just delete the problematic pak file and verify your game files on Steam. Works most of the time.

I had this issue last week! Deleting the pak files and reinstalling CS:GO fixed it for me. It's a bit of a nuclear option but hey, desperate times call for desperate measures.
