How to fix internet lag in CS:GO

First up, try lowering your in-game settings. Graphics can eat up bandwidth, especially if your PC is also struggling to keep up. Next, peek at your internet speed - maybe it’s time for an upgrade or a chat with your ISP if it's underperforming. Don't forget to close any background apps hogging the network like streaming services. Oh, and wired connections triumph over Wi-Fi for stability. Lastly, tweaking your game's network settings can also help, like adjusting the rate, cl_updaterate, and cl_cmdrate values based on your internet speed.

Make sure it's not just CS:GO being CS:GO. Sometimes, the game servers just have a bad day. Wait it out or hop onto another game mode/server.

Check your CS:GO server ping. Maybe it's just the server far away causing the lag. You can use the console command 'status' while in-game to see your ping. If it's high, try a server closer to you!
