Honestly, I just switched to a custom crosshair from a popular CFG and never had that issue again. Might be worth exploring if you keep running into the same problem.

Oh man, the invisible crosshair saga, been there! What you wanna do first is try the simple trick of typing 'crosshair 1' in the console. If that doesn't bring it back, you might have to go into your settings and make sure that the Crosshair Style is set to anything but 'None'. Worst case, reset to the default crosshair settings in the game options, that should fix any visibility issues.

Changing your crosshair color might help. Sometimes it's not invisible, just blending in with the background too well. Try a bright color!
