Don’t listen to them; keep it default. Changing it too much might actually mess with your play. Sometimes, the classics are best.

The console is your friend! Type 'cl_crosshairsize' followed by your desired size, 'cl_crosshaircolor' followed by the color number, and so on. It's a bit old school, but it lets you tweak everything to perfection.

Honestly, why bother with settings? Just hit up the Steam Workshop and grab a crosshair config from there. There are tons that pros use. Easy peasy.
