First up, make sure your PC meets the recommended specs for CS:GO - sometimes it's just about not having enough horsepower. Second, check for graphic driver updates; outdated drivers are often culprits. Lowering your graphics settings can also help, especially shadow and texture quality. Don't forget to set your power plan to 'High performance' in Windows settings, it does wonders!

Honestly, just cap your FPS. It sounds counterintuitive but setting a max FPS can actually smooth things out. Open console with `~` and type `fps_max 60` (or whatever your refresh rate is). And while you're at it, clean your PC, both physically and software-wise. Dust buildup can overheat your components and background processes can eat up your resources.

Disabling Steam Overlay helped me big time. Sometimes, it's the little things running in the background.

All these suggestions are great, but if nothing works, it might be time to consider upgrading your hardware. CS:GO isn't the most demanding game but if your rig is old, it's the only way.
