How to fix VAC error in CS:GO

Had this annoying VAC error too and here's what worked for me: Restart your computer and then run Steam as an administrator. If that doesn't help, verify the integrity of game files on Steam. Right-click CS:GO > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files. Sometimes files get corrupted and this is like a magic fix. Also, make sure your antivirus isn't blocking any of CS:GO's files. Temporarily disable it to check. Hope this helps!

Just reinstall CS:GO, honestly. It's the nuclear option, but it's easier than trying to figure out what's wrong most of the time.

VAC errors are a myth. Just ignore it and it'll go away.

Check your firewall settings! My friend couldn't solve the VAC error until he realized his firewall was messing with CS:GO's files. Make sure CS:GO is allowed through.
