I remember trying to force rain for ages cuz I needed it for evolving one of my Pokémon. Ended up just exploring different parts of the game and, boom, stumbled into a rainy area by accident. So, yeah, exploring is kinda like forcing it, if you squint.

Short answer: you can't really 'force' rain. It's all up to the game's internal weather system, so grab a virtual umbrella and enjoy the wait!

Rain in Pokemon Violet can't be forced the same way you could change the weather in other games with neat tricks or glitches. That being said, weather patterns in the Paldea region change regularly, so your best bet is just to play or roam around different areas and wait for it to start raining naturally. Sometimes, entering and exiting buildings or areas can trigger weather changes too, but it's more about luck than an actual method.
