Getting that sweet 1280x960 stretched resolution in CS:GO is pretty straightforward, but it does depend a bit on your graphics card. If you're using an NVIDIA card, you'll go to the NVIDIA Control Panel, head to 'Adjust desktop size and position,' select 'Full-screen' under scaling, and make sure to pick the correct resolution under the Change resolution panel. For AMD users, right-click on your desktop, open Radeon Settings, go to Display, and find GPU Scaling. Turn it on and set it to Full Panel. After doing this, make sure your CS:GO in-game resolution matches the one you've set in your graphics card settings, and you're good to go!

Honestly, just play on native. Stretching your resolution might give you slightly larger targets but messes with your muscle memory and aspect ratio. Better to adapt to the game's natural settings and improve your skills there.

Been playing on 1280x960 stretched for years cause it feels like enemies are easier to hit. Make sure your in-game settings match what you set externally, or it'll look all wonky. Big targets, big wins!
