Getting Dash in Pokemon Violet is all about progress in the game. You don't get this ability right from the start. You'll need to progress through the story until you encounter and catch Koraidon (in Scarlet) or Miraidon (in Violet), which are your legendary ride Pokemon in these games. Once you've got them, they'll unlock the Dash ability automatically as you advance further. It's not exactly a 'get it now' sort of deal, but more of a 'keep playing and you'll get there' situation. Keep exploring and battling, and before you know it, you'll be dashing around Paldea in no time!
