Okay, so getting free Pokemon cards in the mail is a bit like finding a shiny Pokemon in the wild - rare but not impossible! One legit way is to keep an eye out for official Pokemon events or promotions. Sometimes, The Pokemon Company partners with retailers for special giveaways or events where you might snag some freebies. Also, subscribing to newsletters from Pokemon-related sites or joining Pokemon communities might tip you off to opportunities to get free cards through contests or giveaways.

Hot take: Just buy 'em. Free stuff's cool, but if you're serious about Pokemon TCG, investing a few bucks will get you way further than waiting for someone to maybe send you a free card.

I once got a couple of free Pokemon cards through a magazine subscription! It was a promo where subscribing got you some exclusive cards. Not sure if that's still a thing, but it's worth checking out current magazines or publications related to gaming or Pokemon. They sometimes have these kinds of offers.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
