Getting Jirachi in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is actually pretty straightforward! If you've played Pokemon Sword or Shield on your Nintendo Switch, you're in luck. Jirachi will appear to you early in the game as a special encounter in front of the Area Zero entrance. Make sure you have your Sword or Shield save data on the same system where you're playing Scarlet or Violet. No battles required, Jirachi just wants to join a veteran trainer!

Actually, the only way to get Jirachi is by having a Pokemon Sword or Shield save file. No save, no Jirachi. Seems a bit exclusive, but it's a nice nod to longtime fans.

Got Jirachi myself by just having Sword save data. Can confirm it's super easy; Jirachi just pops up and joins you. Kinda cool seeing it so early in the game.
