To snag yourself a Midnight Lycanroc in Pokemon Violet, you’ll need a Rockruff that has the ability 'Own Tempo,' because only those can evolve into Midnight Lycanroc. The trick is, Rockruff transforms into Midnight Lycanroc when it levels up during the night (in-game time). So, catch yourself an 'Own Tempo' Rockruff, wait for the night in your game, make it level up, and voilà – Midnight Lycanroc enters the chat!
