How to get rid of black bars in CSGO 4:3

Easy fix! Just go into your graphics card's control panel. For NVIDIA, it's in the 'Adjust desktop size and position' settings, where you'll find a 'Scaling' option. Set it to 'Full-screen' to stretch the game to fit your monitor. AMD users, look for a similar option in the Radeon settings under 'Display'. Don’t forget to make sure CSGO is set to run in 4:3 resolution in the game settings too!

Honestly, just play in 16:9. Why mess with black bars or stretching the image? The game looks better and you get a wider field of view. 4:3 is so old school.

I switched to 4:3 for the nostalgia and hated the black bars at first. But after changing the scaling settings in my NVIDIA panel like the first guy said, it worked like a charm. Feels like a whole new game!
