How to get shiny starter Pokemon in Scarlet
Best answer
PokeMasterJen
Getting a shiny starter in Pokemon Scarlet takes a ton of patience because it's all about that shiny hunting grind. You have to repeatedly soft reset your game. Right after you choose your starter, you'll see if it's shiny in the battle preview. If it's not, hold down the power button to restart your console and try again. Be prepared; it might take hundreds or even thousands of tries to get that shiny sparkle!

Soft reset? No thanks. I got mine by sheer luck on my second try! Don't let anyone tell you it's impossible to get it quick. Just believe in the heart of the cards... I mean, Pokeballs.

Honestly, just trade for one. The odds are so low, and it'll save you a headache. I got my shiny Sprigatito from a trade, and it was way easier than resetting my game a million times.
