TM all the way! Keeps you from having to grind levels on a Pokemon just for one move. Just slap that TM on and you're good to go.

Honestly, why bother with Sleep Powder? There's a ton of other moves out there. Just catch a Pokemon that can put foes to sleep with its first move.

Getting Sleep Powder in Pokemon Violet is super easy, you just gotta level up a Pokemon that can learn it naturally, like Bellsprout or Oddish. As they level up, they'll learn the move automatically! Or, you can always use a TM if it's available for Sleep Powder in this gen.

I got Sleep Powder by evolving my Bellsprout. It learned the move as soon as it hit level 15! Super handy for catching wild Pokemon.
