Getting eggs in Pokemon Violet is pretty much like how it's been in previous games. You gotta find yourself a Pokemon Nursery (there's a couple in the Paldea region). Then leave two compatible Pokemon there, usually of opposite genders but some species can mix with Ditto. Give it some time, walk around, explore a bit, and check back later. The Nursery folks will surprise you with an egg if your Pokemon hit it off!
