Hosting a CS:GO dedicated server isn't as hard as it sounds. First, you'll need a decent PC and a solid internet connection. Valve's SteamCMD tool is your best friend here. Download it, and use it to install and update your server's files. Don't forget to set up a port forward on your router to allow players to connect. Finally, customize your server settings with a server.cfg file. There are tons of guides online that walk you through each step!

Honestly, just rent a server. Setting one up yourself involves too much hassle with ports, configs, and potential security risks. There are plenty of affordable gaming server hosts out there that specialize in CS:GO. They handle all the backend stuff, and all you do is manage the fun part - playing with the settings and rules.
