Ever wondered how to cook your food or melt your ores in Minecraft? Well, you’re likely looking for a way to create a smelter, also known as a furnace!

So, let’s dive into the fiery question: How do you make a smelter in Minecraft? It’s simpler than you think and super useful!

The Quick Answer: Crafting a Furnace

To make a smelter (or furnace) in Minecraft, you need 8 cobblestone blocks. First, find some stone and mine it with a pickaxe to get cobblestone. Then, open your crafting table, and place the cobblestone blocks in every slot except the middle one. Voilà, you’ve crafted a furnace!

Once you’ve got your furnace, you can start smelting! Put the items you want to smelt in the top slot of the furnace interface, and some fuel (like wood, coal, or charcoal) in the bottom slot. The furnace will light up, and your items will begin to smelt into something new and useful.
