I tried using basic sprinklers at first, but trust me, the upgrade to Iridium Sprinklers changed my farm life. More time for mining and fishing!

To make a sprinkler work in Stardew Valley, first, you need to craft or obtain one. Then, place it on your farm. A basic sprinkler waters the 4 adjacent tiles every morning, in a + shape around it. To cover more ground, upgrade to Quality or Iridium Sprinklers which water 8 and 24 tiles respectively, in a larger radius around them. Just remember, they only water your crops at the start of a new day!
