Honestly, just slap '-freq 144' in the launch options and make sure your Windows display settings are at 144Hz. If your monitor and GPU are up for it, you'll see the smoothness.

Not sure why everyone complicates it. Just set your PC display to 144Hz and your game should automatically follow suit. Works for me every time.

Firstly, ensure your monitor supports 144Hz and you’ve set it to run at 144Hz in your display settings. For CS:GO, right-click on the game in your Steam library, go to 'Properties,' then 'Set Launch Options,' and type in '-freq 144' to force the game to run at 144Hz. Also, make sure in the in-game video settings, V-Sync is off to avoid capping your fps.

I’ve been playing CS:GO on a 144Hz monitor for years. Can confirm, setting your PC to 144Hz and using '-freq 144' in launch options is the way to go. But don't forget to check your monitor's manual; some models require you to manually switch to 144Hz mode.
