I set up 1v1 matches for me and my buddy all the time. The key is to remove all bots from the game. It's a great way to practice your aim without interruptions. Make sure to change the map through the console if you get bored of the scenery!

Easy peasy! First off, both of you need to have CS:GO installed, obvs. Then, one of you should create a lobby and invite the other. Once you're both in, set the game mode to 'Practice with Bots', choose the map you want to duel on, and start the game. When you're in, you can kick the bots by opening the console (press `~`) and typing 'bot_kick'. Now it's just you and your friend - may the best sharpshooter win!

Honestly, why bother setting up a 1v1 when you can just jump into a Deathmatch server together? It's way less hassle.
