Pressing the B button during the evolution animation is the classic way to stop your Pokemon from evolving in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. If you've got a Pokemon that you think is just perfect the way it is, and you don't want it changing on you, just keep that B button handy!

If you're really set on keeping your Pokemon in its adorable baby form or whatever, using an Everstone is key. Just give it to your Pokemon to hold, and boom, no evolution. You don't have to do anything else, it just works. Perfect for those who keep forgetting to press B or just don't want to bother.
