Releasing Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is super simple! Just open up your menu and go to your Pokemon Box. Select the Pokemon you wanna say goodbye to, and you should see an option to 'Release' them. Confirm your choice, and voila, your Pokemon will be released back into the wild. Remember though, once you release a Pokemon, it's gone for good, so be sure you want to part ways!

Nah, why release them? Keep all your Pokemon! You never know when you'll need that level 5 Magikarp to flex on the Elite Four.

Quick tip: Releasing isn't reversible. Double-check before you do it. Had to learn that the hard way when I accidentally released my shiny. 😭
