In your AMD settings, just toggle GPU Scaling to on and change Scaling Mode to 'Full Panel'. Works like a charm!

Honestly, just play in 16:9. Why bother with 4:3 stretched? The wider field of vision is worth it, IMO.

Easiest way? Dive into your AMD Radeon Settings. Look for the 'Display' tab, then find the 'GPU Scaling' option and enable it. You'll also want to set 'Scaling Mode' to 'Full Panel'. This stretches the image to fill your screen, bye bye black bars! Just remember, it might make things look a bit wider than usual, but you'll get used to it super quick.
