Restarting Pokemon Scarlet is pretty straightforward. First, from the Switch's Home screen, you gotta close the game if it's running. Just select it, press X and confirm you wanna close it. Then, fire up the game again, and as soon as you see the Nintendo logo pop up, press and hold the X button. The game will ask if you're sure you want to delete your save data. Confirm, and voila, you're back to square one!

Bad idea to restart IMO, you lose all your progress! But if you really wanna, just press X when the game boots up.

Just smash that X button right after the Nintendo logo when you start the game. It's like the universal gaming code for 'oops, let's pretend that never happened'.
