To pick a server in CS:GO, you don't have the power to choose one like you're picking out a new hat. But, you can influence it! Go to your game settings, look for 'Max Acceptable Matchmaking Ping' and set it to a lower value. This tells the game 'Hey, only match me in servers where my ping won't go sky-high'. Not perfect, but it's something. If you're itching for more control, like a true Counter-Strike commander, third-party platforms like FACEIT or ESEA will let you choose servers more freely based on location.

Honestly, adjusting your 'Max Acceptable Matchmaking Ping' in the game settings is the way to go. Low-key, it's like whispering to CS:GO, 'Please, only the best servers for my elite skills'. Works like a charm most times if you're not into third-party services.
