Here’s a lil' firsthand tip: ensure your game is updated to the latest version and your Switch is connected to the internet before launching Pokemon Scarlet. Had a buddy who couldn’t figure out why the DLC wasn’t showing up, turned out his game wasn’t updated. Once you've got that squared away, the game pretty much guides you to the DLC start.
