Just a heads-up: You gotta have a Nintendo Online subscription to trade in Pokémon Scarlet. No sub, no trade. Keep it in mind before you try to swap your precious Pokémon with friends or randoms online.

I traded my first Pokémon yesterday! It's literally as simple as connecting to the internet, hitting up the Poké Portal, and choosing Link Trade. Found someone random and swapped my Pikachu for a Charmander. Best trade ever!
