Just let Steam do its thing. It updates games automatically unless you've changed the settings. If you've messed with the update preferences, go check them. Otherwise, you're all set.

Honestly, if it's not updating, you might want to check your internet connection. Steam updates stuff on its own unless there's a hiccup with your net or Steam's servers are down (rare, but happens).
