How to Use a Beacon in Minecraft: A Quick Guide
Last updated
Ever wondered how to make your Minecraft experience even more magical? One way is by using a beacon. Let’s dive into how you can use a beacon to enhance your gameplay.
Using a beacon in Minecraft isn’t just cool, it’s a game-changer. You’ll learn exactly how to do it here.
Setting Up Your Beacon
First off, you need a beacon. This isn’t your ordinary item; it requires a bit of effort to get. To start, defeat the Wither boss to get a Nether Star. Then, craft your beacon with the Nether Star, obsidian, and glass.
Next, you’ll need to build a pyramid base for your beacon to sit on. This can be made from iron, gold, emerald, or diamond blocks. The size of your pyramid (which can be 1 to 4 levels) determines the range and strength of the beacon’s powers.
Activating and Customizing Your Beacon
Place your beacon on the top center of your pyramid. Once placed, open the beacon’s interface by right-clicking on it. You’ll need at least one ingot of iron, gold, emerald, or diamond to activate it. Choose your desired primary power (Speed, Haste, Resistance, Jump Boost, or Strength) and feed your ingot to the beacon.
If your pyramid is four levels tall, you can pick a secondary power as well. This could be Regeneration or an upgrade to your primary power. Remember, the larger your pyramid, the more powerful and wide-ranging your beacon’s abilities.
