Not all PS3 fat models are backwards compatible. Only the early models (20GB, 60GB, and some 80GB versions) had full backwards compatibility with PS2 games.

Nope, only certain early PS3 fat models play PS2 games. Look for a model with 4 USB ports in the front to be sure!

Nah, just the first few models of the PS3 fat. The ones with hardware Emotion Engine included backward compatibility.

Nope, you need one of the early versions. I still have my 60GB PS3 fat, and it runs PS2 games like a dream!
