Not all of them, but a lot! Steam Deck runs on a Linux-based OS, using Proton to play Windows games. While many games work great out of the box, some require tweaks, and others might not run at all due to compatibility issues with Proton or because they use anti-cheat software that's not supported.

Mostly yes, but actually no. There's a tool on Steam called 'Steam Play' that lets many Windows-only games run on Linux and by extension the Steam Deck. But, some games, especially those with heavy DRM or specific anti-cheat tech, might give you trouble.

In short, nope. Not every game on Steam will run on the Steam Deck. It's mainly because of the compatibility issues with the Deck's operating system. But, Valve's constantly working to increase compatibility through Proton, so the list of playable games is always growing!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
