Nope, only specific games were made backward compatible on Xbox 360. You can find the list on the Xbox website, and even if you have a compatible game, you need an official Xbox hard drive. Xbox One and Series X/S are way better with backward compatibility!

Hot take: Xbox 360鈥檚 backward compatibility is overrated. Stick to the Xbox One or Series X/S if you want a better experience with older games.

Not all Xbox 360 consoles are fully backwards compatible. The original Xbox 360 only supported a limited number of original Xbox games, and you needed an official hard drive to play them. But the Xbox One and newer consoles do a much better job here!

From personal experience, my old Xbox 360 could play some original Xbox games, but not all. I needed an official hard drive to even try. If you really care about backward compatibility, go for an Xbox One or Series X/S.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
