Nope, they're not the same! Auras are a subtype of enchantments in Magic The Gathering. All Auras are enchantments, but not all enchantments are Auras. The big difference? Auras attach to other cards on the battlefield - like creatures, lands, or even players - granting them bonuses or penalties. Other enchantments, however, just chill on the battlefield with their own abilities that affect the game in various ways.

Short answer: Auras are a specific kind of enchantment that need to be attached to something. Regular enchantments stand alone.

Totally different beasts! Auras buff or nerf things directly by attaching to them. Other enchantments work their magic (pun intended) from the sidelines with ongoing effects that can change the game's landscape. So, while they're both enchantment cards, how they play out in your strategy is worlds apart!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
