Wither is a thing, and it's brilliant for control decks. Puts a whole new spin on combat.

Yep, Wither is actually a keyword ability in MTG! Cards with Wither deal damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters instead of the usual damage. This means any damage they dish out can permanently weaken or even wipe out the other creature, which is super cool in my book. It adds an extra layer of strategy, especially when you're trying to decide if it's worth attacking or blocking with your Wither creatures.

Honestly, Wither feels kinda overrated. I mean, it's cool and all, but there are way better abilities out there.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
