Are Companions in Fallout 4 Worth It?
Honestly, it's a mixed bag. While companions do add depth to the gameplay and have cool stories, they can sometimes get in the way during stealth missions or bug out. I've had times where I had to reload a save because my companion blocked a doorway. So... helpful? Yes. Perfect? Far from it.
