Are creatures protected from spells under your control in MTG?
InterferingHood路7 months agoShort answer: No. Your creatures can get hit by your own spells unless the card says otherwise. Always read your cards carefully!

Nope, creatures you control aren't automatically protected from your own spells in Magic The Gathering. If you cast a spell that says 'deal 3 damage to each creature,' your creatures are gonna feel the burn too. Remember, your spells don't discriminate unless they specifically say they do!
Actually, it's all about the card text. If your spell says it only targets creatures your opponents control, then yeah, your creatures are safe. But if it's an all-inclusive party, everyone's invited, including your own creatures.
