Are D&D and MTG in the Same Universe?
Nope, D&D and MTG aren't originally from the same universe, but they've definitely had some epic crossovers! Wizards of the Coast, the mastermind behind both games, has published D&D campaign settings based on MTG worlds like Ravnica and Theros, blending the lore and elements from both. So, while they started in separate universes, they've kind of become distant cousins through these cool mashups.

Totally different universes, folks! Just because Wizards of the Coast owns both doesn't mean they're the same thing. Sure, they've done some crossovers, but Star Wars and Marvel crossovers don't put them in the same universe, right? Keep 'em separate, I say.
No, they're not the same. But yes, there are crossovers. Think Marvel and DC doing a collab. Different worlds, special occasions.
As a hardcore fan of both, I've gotta weigh in. They started separate but the crossovers are making the lines real blurry. Played a campaign in Ravnica last spring and it felt just like being in an MTG game. So in a way, they're sorta merging?
