If you're aiming to look super cool while pretending to charge a Kamehameha, then yes, absolutely useful! But in a real fight, maybe not so much.
From personal experience, using a Dragon Ball stance during my karate practice didn't improve my fighting skills, but it did get me some laughs and a few 'Nice Goku!' comments.
Realistically, Dragon Ball stances are more about dramatic effect and showmanship than practical combat use. They're fun but not fight-ready.
