Totally! Gold back Pokemon cards are not legit. Real Pokemon cards have a distinct blue and white pattern on the back. If you've got a card with a gold back, it's 100% a fake or a novelty item, not intended for official play. Always check the back design if authenticity is a big deal for you.

Gold back? Yeah, they're cool collectors' items but not real. I remember getting excited about one at a flea market, thinking I'd struck gold (pun intended), only to learn it wasn't legit. Still fun to show off though!

Gold back cards are fakes, no doubt. Real ones have that iconic blue design, so don't get tricked!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
