Gold cards? Legendary? Nah, not always. Think of 'em like peanut butter and jelly. Sure, they go together a lot, but you can definitely have one without the other. Some gold cards are legendary, but plenty aren't. Always check the card text!

Not all gold cards in Magic The Gathering are legendary. Gold cards actually refer to the multicolored cards that require more than one color of mana to play. While some legendary cards are gold due to their multicolor nature, being gold doesn't automatically make a card legendary. It鈥檚 the text box on the card that will tell you if it's legendary!

Gold cards being legendary is a common misconception! Not all of them are. It鈥檚 all about the card's abilities and what's written on it. Just because it's shiny and colorful doesn't mean it gets the legendary status.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
