Are Lands Considered Spells in Magic The Gathering?
Nope, lands aren't spells in MTG. Spells are cards you cast from your hand by paying their mana cost, and they go to the stack, where they can be responded to before resolving. Lands, on the other hand, are played directly onto the battlefield and don't use the stack, so they aren't considered spells.

Quick answer for ya: No, lands are not spells. They have their own special place in MTG.
Actually, lands are the exception to the rule. Everything else can be a spell, but lands just strut onto the battlefield, no spell-slinging required.
