Absolutely! MTG card designers can look at custom cards, and they often do! It's a great way for them to see what the community is buzzing about, get inspired, and understand the kinds of mechanics or themes players are dreaming of. However, they have to be careful about not directly lifting ideas from custom cards due to legal reasons. It's more about inspiration and understanding the player base.

As a long-time player and follower of the design team's blogs, they definitely see what's out there. But there's a fine line between inspiration and infringement. They're pro at walking it.

Nah, it's all about inspiration. They can glance, get hyped, but can't just clone someone's brainchild directly. IP laws are a thing!

Honestly, I think people overestimate how much these designers look at custom cards. They've got their own creative process and probably don't need to scout fan sites for ideas.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
