Nope, not really. Most recycling centers can't process them because of the coatings and inks. Better to reuse them for crafts or donate them to someone who'd appreciate them!

Technically, yes, MTG cards are recyclable because they're mostly made of paper. However, the glossy finish and inks used for the vivid artwork might make them less suitable for your standard recycling bin. Your best bet is to check with your local recycling program to see if they accept cards like these. Sometimes, specialized recycling programs for mixed materials can handle them.

From my experience, it's a no-go. Tried to recycle a bunch of old commons and was told the glossy finish means they can't be processed with regular paper. Ended up using them for art projects instead.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
